They had a long trip so they were quite thirsty when they arrived

They had a long trip so they were quite thirsty when they arrived and consumed a lot of carrots, cucumbers and sweet potatoes for the first couple days. once hydrated they settled in and got to work and within a few days were reproducing and they are now a happy and healthy colony.

Arrived Alive and Well Packaged

We ordered 2 sets and both arrived quickly and well packaged. Beetles were in one bag and mealworms in another. There was very little dead between the 2. All looked healthy.

Satisfied, but a little disappointed

I'm satisfied with my purchase but was a little disappointed when about 75% of the battles died within the first day. The worms were fine.

The worms and beetles came during winter. All was fine. Picked up at post office, all alive as far as I could tell, and getting both worms and beetles means a quicker start to sustainable mealworm production for my chickens.

Worthy Purchase

Purchased the starter pack. Minimal dead beetles noted. Placed mealworms and beetles in drawers with oatmeal. One week later and I have pupae. Would definitely recommend this starter pack if you are looking g to raise your own mealworms

Meal Worm Starter Kit

I am very happy with my meal worm farm purchase! The process is easy and efficient. I Also purchased beetles and meal worms. They came healthy and hungry. It did take a long time to unpack the bugs because they were all over the newspaper, other than that my experience was great and I have already recommended The Bug Factory to several friends with chickens!
