Mealworms may appear lifeless during cold weather due to dormancy. This is normal. Follow these care steps to revive them:

1. Unpack immediately and ensure airflow
2. Keep at room temperature (18–25°C / 64–77°F)
3. Do not use direct heat – warming too fast can kill them
4. Gently agitate the bulk bags and lay them flat
5. Allow several hours for full recovery

99% of mealworms recover if treated correctly.
